Minimum trading days at prop firms
A minimum day count decides how soon you can pass or get paid. What counts as a trading day matters as much as the number: some firms need a set profit or a trade of a minimum size before a day counts. Every rule below is quoted from the firm’s own pages, with a link to where we read it.
What can this rule do to you?
Kind of rule
Minimum days
Day counts you must reach before a pass or a payout is released, and what makes a day count.
Five trading days, and each one needs a trade in it
Stated as "Minimum trade days: 5 days and a minimum of 1 trade per day". Hitting the profit milestone in two good sessions does not release a payout; the day count has to be filled as well, and a day with no trade in it does not count toward it.
A trading day only counts if it makes 0.5%
Minimum trading days only count days with at least 0.5% profit. Evaluations need 3 of them and funded or instant accounts need 5 before a payout, so small or losing days push the payout back.
This list is only as complete as our reading. 33 of the 83 firms we track have been through a rulebook pass; the rest are still to do, and a firm missing from here has not been cleared. It has not been checked. See which firms are next.
