Prop firm country eligibility rules
Eligibility terms that go beyond the published list of restricted countries, such as residency checks at payout. Every rule below is quoted from the firm’s own pages, with a link to where we read it. The country lists themselves are on restricted countries.
What can this rule do to you?
Kind of rule
Country
Eligibility rules beyond the published country list.
Sanctions lists apply beyond the named countries
Services are not offered to residents of jurisdictions on the FATF and EU/UN sanctions lists, in addition to Vietnam and the UAE which are named. The named list is therefore a floor, not the whole restriction.
One login from a restricted country blocks the account
A single trade or even viewing market data from a restricted country is a violation, including through a VPN or remote connection. The account is restricted or blocked without exception.
Trading while physically in a restricted country is a hard breach
Placing trades while travelling in one of the listed restricted countries breaches the account even if you live in an allowed country. Support asks to be told about foreign travel in advance to avoid IP flags.
Your country can be blocked by the payment provider, not the firm
Eligibility depends on Rise, the reward provider, as well as on ETF itself. If your country is on Rise’s restricted list you cannot receive rewards even where the firm would otherwise accept you, and the list can change without the firm changing anything.
No Rise payouts in some US states and territories
Rise does not pay traders in Iowa, Minnesota, South Carolina, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Haiti. The prop firm picks the payment provider.
Tell support before trading from another location
If you trade from a new location without telling FundedHero first the account is escalated for investigation. It can be made ineligible for payout.
Travelling abroad can trigger a compliance review
A change in IP location from international travel may lead to a security review and a request for travel documents. Logging in from a restricted country, even through a VPN, is prohibited and ends the account.
Trading while travelling in an ineligible country
Placing trades from an ineligible country even briefly can put your account under review by the Trust team. Where you live counts more than your citizenship.
Futures: 30 more countries are excluded than on FTMO's CFD accounts
FTMO Futures is not offered in 105 countries and territories, 30 more than FTMO's CFD list, including Australia, China, Vietnam and the whole of Ukraine. US residents are served by a separate FTMO company, except in Arkansas, Delaware, Louisiana, Montana and South Carolina.
This list is only as complete as our reading. 33 of the 83 firms we track have been through a rulebook pass; the rest are still to do, and a firm missing from here has not been cleared. It has not been checked. See which firms are next.
