Weekend and overnight holding rules

Whether you can hold over a weekend or through the daily rollover often depends on the account type and the instrument. Some firms close positions for you at the Friday cutoff. Every rule below is quoted from the firm’s own pages, with a link to where we read it.

Weekend and overnight

What may be left open over a weekend or a rollover, which often differs by instrument.

Crypto cannot be traded at the weekend either

Crypto runs around the clock on the real market, so the weekend ban catching it as well is not obvious. The FAQ answers the question with a flat no, which means no weekend crypto position on any plan.

  2. EZE FundedUAEJudgement call

Open trades are liquidated for you at the Friday close

Closing before the weekend is your responsibility. Anything still open when the market shuts is force closed. You take whatever price that fill lands at. Holding positions across a weekend is not an option on any account.
