Rule Check answers

What Rule Check reads when it calls this firm compatible or a conflict. Open one to read the rule in the firm’s own words.

Can you trade the news?Restricted

Allowed in challenge phases. On funded and instant accounts no trade may be opened or closed from 10 minutes before to 10 minutes after high-impact news; for speeches the window runs until 10 minutes after they end. The ban covers pending, stop loss and take profit orders. Trades opened at least 5 hours before the news are exempt.

“During the Funded Phase, traders are not allowed to hold or execute trades during news events, unless specific timing conditions are met.”
Can you hold over the weekend?Restricted

Allowed in challenge phases. Banned on funded phase and instant accounts (Bolt and Strike pages say positions must be closed before Friday's market close).

“Traders are permitted to hold positions over the weekend in challenge phase. Not allowed in funded phase .”
Is there a consistency rule?Yes

Prime Instant Account only: the largest single trade (two positions together count as one) must be 15% or less of total profit before a payout can be requested. Failing it is not a breach. Lite Instant says it has no consistency rule, and the homepage says there is none on the Lite 2-Step and Strike challenges.

“You must achieve at least 15% consistency to become eligible for payouts.”
Minimum trading daysNone

Lite 2-Step evaluation and Strike 1-Step, per the homepage challenge table. Funded Lite accounts separately need 7 trading days before the first payout request.

6 hidden rules you should know before you buy

Terms that can cost you an account or a payout after you have already paid. Hidden means easy to miss, not concealed. The firm publishes every one of these, usually in its terms or FAQ rather than on its pricing page. Tap a rule to read it, with the page we read it on and the date.

Payout restrictions1

  1. 01A payout request past the daily drawdown is a hard breachCloses the account

If a payout request would take the account past its daily drawdown limit it counts as breaking the daily drawdown rule. The account is terminated so an equity cushion must be left when withdrawing.

    Why it matters
Break it once and the account is closed, whatever the balance.
    Who it affects
Anyone requesting a payout, on funded accounts
    Source
    intercom.help

Drawdown1

  1. 02A 1% floating loss closes a funded accountCloses the account

On funded and instant accounts your open trades can never show a combined loss of 1% of the balance. Two positions open together count as one trade and the account closes even if price comes back.

    Why it matters
Break it once and the account is closed, whatever the balance.
    Who it affects
Every account on the programme, on funded accounts
    Source
    intercom.help

Position size and exposure1

  1. 03No more than two positions per instrument and no averaging downCloses the account

You cannot hold more than two open positions on one instrument or add to a trade that is already losing, including grid and martingale. It is a soft breach in the challenge but a hard breach on funded and instant accounts.

    Why it matters
Break it once and the account is closed, whatever the balance.
    Who it affects
Traders holding large or many positions, on challenge and funded accounts
    Source
    intercom.help

Re-entry1

  1. 04Reopening a position within five minutes is tick scalpingJudgement call

Closing a position and opening it again within five minutes counts as tick scalping, as do trades opened and closed inside 120 seconds. More than 10% of such trades on funded or instant accounts sends the account to risk review.

    Why it matters
There is no fixed line. Someone at the firm decides whether you broke it.
    Who it affects
Traders who go back into a losing idea, on challenge and funded accounts
    Source
    intercom.help

Inactivity1

  1. 05Fourteen days without a trade suspends the accountCloses the account

Any account with no trades for 14 days in a row is suspended automatically. Contact support in advance if you expect to be away.

    Why it matters
Break it once and the account is closed, whatever the balance.
    Who it affects
Accounts left untraded, on challenge and funded accounts
    Source
    intercom.help

Identity, VPN and devices1

  1. 06Login region must match where you bought the challengeJudgement call

The IP region you trade from must match the region used at purchase and stay consistent on funded accounts. Travelling without telling support first or using a VPN or proxy can trigger verification checks and trading restrictions.

    Why it matters
There is no fixed line. Someone at the firm decides whether you broke it.
    Who it affects
Traders who travel or use a VPN, on challenge and funded accounts
    Source
    intercom.help
